The China Study

By Thomas M. Campbell II

Our Shelf Talker

This book has been out for several years. Dr. Campbell is a Professor of Nutritional Biochemistry who participated in a nutrition study between Oxford, Cornell and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine studying the effect of a plant based diet vs. an animal protein diet using rats in the study. He concludes that a diet high in animal protein produces tremendous levels of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, and protein obtained from beans and vegetables and an occasional serving of fish produced very little if no cancer and other diseases.
