This gorgeously conceived book, a testament to those painters who overcame a history of gender-specific hurdles, is a necessary addition to any art lover's library. Containing over three hundred artists and the various eras, continents, and genres they represent, you could spend hours poring over the exquisite artwork between this book's covers. I was glad to see some familiar names and works, but even more exhilarated by the artists whose full work I've yet to discover. Carve out some time to immerse yourself in this one!— Kelly
