When three baby owls awake one night to find their mother gone, they can't help but wonder where she is. Stunning illustrations capture the owls as they worry about their mother: What is she doing? When will she be back? Not surprisingly, a joyous flapping and dancing and bouncing greets her return, lending a celebratory tone to the ending of this comforting tale. Never has the plight of young ones who miss their mother been so simply told or so beautifully rendered.
Kerry Pease-Coble has over 25 years of private teaching experience and is an award winning exhibiting painter. Kerry obtained my BFA from Rhode Island School of Design with further study at Tyler School of Art and MICA, and has been honored with a residency at the prestigious Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. Kerry has spent their life surrounded by artists and educators. Their father, the late David Pease, was the dean at both Tyler School of Art and Yale Art School and has work in dozens of major museum collections. Guilford has been their adult home and "happy place". It has been a dream of theirs to move back to New England and reestablish the studio here.
