The perfect gift book for all of your loved ones! This lyrical, gorgeously illustrated picture book celebrates creativity and a family's love.

I Drew a Heart

I drew a heart, and another one after... The hearts filled the pages, spilled over the edges, all these hearts that were in no way the same…

A little boy spends the day drawing hearts—wavy hearts, wiggly hearts, wide hearts and tiny hearts, broken hearts and polka-dotted hearts—and each heart a reminder of a favorite memory: dancing, kite flying, first steps, and more.

This poignant and lyrical book with vibrant illustrations celebrates a multigenerational family, creativity, and love.

Kerry Pease-Coble has over 25 years of private teaching experience and is an award winning exhibiting painter. Kerry obtained my BFA from Rhode Island School of Design with further study at Tyler School of Art and MICA, and has been honored with a residency at the prestigious Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. Kerry has spent their life surrounded by artists and educators. Their father, the late David Pease, was the dean at both Tyler School of Art and Yale Art School and has work in dozens of major museum collections. Guilford has been their adult home and "happy place." It has been a dream of theirs to move back to New England and reestablish the studio here.

Art Matters Studio offers opportunities for artists of all experience levels to not only develop skills, but feel part of a community where they are encouraged to experiment, have fun and develop their own artistic vision. Children's programing is offered for ages toddler through teen and limited to small groups of 8-12. Custom programming, homeschool classes and private lessons are offered upon request for ages 6+. Choose the programs that works best for you, from one day workshops and drop in programs to multi week sessions. Summer and Schools Out camps provide fun opportunities for children on the holidays and their popular 'Arty Parties' offer creative celebrations for birthday and other events.

Tickets are required for all participating children. Caregivers are required to stay for the duration of the event for no additional charge. This event is intended for ages 3 and up.
