In a town that is totally gray and where everything is done in the same exact way, Poppy and Posie Blossom have always had a little trouble fitting in. Alongside their mother, the two sisters run their beloved family flower shop. Though Poppy, Posie, and Mama Blossom love their shop more than just about anything, to the rest of the town, flowers are just frivolous!
When Mama Blossom shocks Poppy and Posie with the news that they will have to close their shop, the sisters must dig deep to figure out how to prove to the town just how special their flowers truly are. And along the way, they discover that being a little different isn't such a bad thing after all.
Join Poppy and Posie Bon their unforgettable journey to save the Blossom Shoppe--a heartwarming story about the power of hard work, creativity, acceptance and family, and the extraordinary things that can happen when you let your true colors shine.
Katherine and Caroline Brickley are twenty-one-year-old twin sisters from Connecticut pursuing their degrees in English at Binghamton University. The Blossom Shoppe is their first title published under The Blossom Company, their independent children's book publishing company where award-winning stories truly come off the page through live storybook character programs and events performed by the characters from the books themselves! Events include a full program performed by Katherine, who portrays Poppy, and Caroline, who portrays Posie, with interactive storytime, singing and dancing to original songs written just for the book, and the opportunity to take a photo with and have a book signed by the authors/characters!
Through this unique approach to literature, The Blossom Company strives to achieve its mission: "To bridge the gap between literature and life, to cultivate creativity, understanding, and acceptance, and to encourage all children to blossom together!" The Blossom Company also strives to make sure that each and every child knows exactly how BLOSSOM they are!
If you're unable to attend the event and would like a signed copy of The Blossom Shoppe, please purchase the "Signed" version below.
